The first image above this text depicts the Japanese attack on the American Navy base in Hawaii known as Pearl Harbour. This was a tremendous failure for the Americans. However, they were able to build from this failure and eventually succeed at the war that they had entered by this attack.

The second image above this text shows US planes flying over their Navy in celebration of the Japanese surrender, which resulted in the American victory in the Pacific war. They had originally failed in the defense of Pearl Harbor but they learned from that failure and other failures in the pacific campaign enough that they were able to push the Japanese forces back to the mainland.

This is a failed test. The one who wrote this test had not succeeded in their goal of passing this test. However, this can be learned from, in order to succeed at retaking the test. By reviewing one's mistakes on a task, one can try again and maybe succeed by having known better.
This kid now succeeded in his test by learning from his mistakes on the previous test.
