The meaning of this quotation is that true victory is both achieved and felt, but only if the would-be victor is willing to accept the obstacles and difficulties that stand in the way of victory. Overcoming those will prove to be all the more rewarding. A sense of pride will be invoked in the victor upon achieving his/her victory. This side of my theme concept is explained by telling that victory is more rewarding when it is challenging to achieve it, so perseverance also plays a role in victory which this side of my theme project will be explained in further detail.

Failure is only postponed success as long as courage 'coaches' ambition. The habit of persistence is the habit of victory.

The meaning of this quotation is that it matters not how many times one fails in the path to victory. As long as the future victor still retains courage, which in turn would fuel his/her ambition, victory is undeniable. Persisting is the key to achieving what appears to be impossible. The other side of this theme will be explained by saying how failure is only one step short of victory.
